Plot Summary
The Old West.. where a lone cowboy leads an uprising against a terror from beyond our world. 1873. Arizona Territory. A stranger with no memory of his past stumbles into the hard desert town of Absolution. The only hint to his history is a mysterious shackle that encircles one wrist. What he discovers is that the people of Absolution don't welcome strangers, and nobody makes a move on its streets unless ordered to do so by the iron-fisted Colonel Dolarhyde (Ford). It's a town that lives in fear. But Absolution is about to experience fear it can scarcely comprehend as the desolate city is attacked by marauders from the sky. Screaming down with breathtaking velocity and blinding lights to abduct the helpless one by one, these monsters challenge everything the residents have ever known. Now, the stranger they rejected is their only hope for salvation. In Arizona secolului al XIX-lea, cowboys si indienii apasi sunt intr-o continua confruntare si nimeni nu pare capabil sa instaureze pacea si buna-intelegere intre ei. Atunci cand intr-un oras situat in mijlocul unei regiuni desertice apare un strain pe nume Jake Lonergan, care nu isi aminteste nimic despre trecutul sau, dar poarta pe incheietura mainii stangi un soi de bratara bizara a carei intrebuintare ii este lui insusi neclara, localnicii nu il intampina cu bratele deschise si chiar il intemniteaza, comunicandu-i ca este cautat de catre seriful federal. La fel de interesat de necunoscut este si colonelul Woodrow Dolarhyde, cel care conduce cu mana de fier fraiele orasului si care are propriile socoteli cu singuraticul Jake Lonergan. Atunci cand orasul este tinta unei invazii extraterestre si localnicii sunt rapiti unul cate unul de catre alienii ce intentioneaza sa preia controlul asupra acestor teritorii si sa-i transforme pe oameni in scalvi, cowboys si indienii trebuie sa lase deoparte conflictele dintre ei si sa isi uneasca fortele impotriva unui dusman comun, bratara miraculoasa pe care Jake Lonergan o poarta la mana fiind cheia salvarii rasei umane.
